The Center for International Students and Scholars (CISS) opened in July 2022 to create a welcoming space for international students and visiting scholars and bring together services for international students and visiting scholars at the Storrs campus. The CISS includes:
- International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS):
- Provides advising and services related to immigration, government procedures, and university/community resources.
- Administers UConn’s F and J visa programs on behalf of university

- Programming and activities to help international students and visiting scholars connect with each other and the greater UConn community and develop intercultural skills to help them succeed.

- Offers intensive ESL courses to full-time and part-time English language learners and support for international Teaching Assistants.
