Drop-In Advising During Normal Operations
ISSS advisors are available on a drop-in basis at the Storrs, Stamford, Law and GBLC campuses with no appointment needed (see schedules below).
Drop-in advising is generally for quick questions related to travel, working on campus, OPT, CPT, changing programs, withdrawing from courses, or other matters which do not require significant advising time. Issues that are more complex require an appointment with your designated international advisor, except for Law School, which works on a primarily drop-in basis (see below).
ISSS Storrs Campus - Visit drop in hours Monday through Thursday between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm.
ISSS Advising – UConn Waterbury and Avery Point Campuses
There are no daily drop-in advising hours at UConn Waterbury. Waterbury campus students should contact ISSS Stamford with immigration questions or to arrange for travel signatures or other benefits.
There are no daily drop-in advising hours at UConn Avery Point, but an ISSS advisor will come to Avery Point at least once a semester to meet with students/scholars and to issue travel signatures. Avery Point students should contact Amina Kader, email@example.com, with any immigration questions or to arrange for travel signatures or other benefits.
ISSS Advising Appointments
Students and scholars who are applying to change visa status, who have fallen out of status, or who are dealing with significant academic or personal matters that require a longer meeting should contact their international advisor to schedule an appointment.
