Rae Alexander

Rae has been Director of ISSS since 2016, but has worked with ISSS at UConn since 2009. Before coming to UConn, she worked in international student services at a small college in Maine. She is a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators and has presented on various topics at NAFSA regional conferences and workshops. Rae has worked and studied in Austria, Germany and the Netherlands, and speaks German and some Dutch. She holds a BA in Art History from the University of Maine and an MA in European Studies from the Universiteit van Amsterdam. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Learning, Leadership and Education Policy at UConn. In her free time Rae loves watching international films and spending time with her family. Rae is passionate about welcoming international students and scholars to the U.S. and to UConn!
